Jean Medard is a versatile composer and pianist known for blending various genres, from Hip Hop Jazz to cinematic scores and original contemporary jazz.

His comprehensive and international musical education is exceptionally strong. Medard holds an official certification with Distinction in the Music Theory program of Trinity College of Music, achieving this through rigorous external examination. His high-level jazz studies and composition work were primarily undertaken with composer and educator Alejandro Varela in Mexico City, who provided the highest local instruction, having studied directly under the former Trinity College Director in Mexico.

Medard further enhanced his jazz vocabulary by completing studies and taking lessons with modern legends such as Donny McCaslin and Steven Feifke, in addition to the jazz blues program from the University of New York taught by Dariusz Terefenko.
