Welcome to the YouTube channel of Jahresgeschehen.

Originally in 2008 as a kind of private news site for reports with photos and videos from parties, concerts and other annual events ("Jahresgeschehen" = annual events in German), there has not been much to report since the outbreak of the pandemic, so an old and passion that had been neglected for a long time came to the fore again: planespotting.

This was initially limited to photos on Instagram, before videos have increasingly come into focus since the end of 2021.

In addition to a few very early recordings from the eighties, current films from Los Angeles and our home airport Düsseldorf are now regularly added. And not because they're extraordinary or otherwise can't be found anywhere else on YouTube, but because we just enjoy it!

The advertising slogan that we introduced in 2008, alluding to a major German television station, fits in with this:
