I started this shop myself. I built it piece by piece. It was my dream. Walter helped me run it, and together we made it feel like home.

In December, my daughter Lily was standing on the sidewalk outside when a car hit her. She died right there. Nothing has ever hurt more than losing her.

We kept the shop open for her. Every day was hard, but Walter and I showed up anyway.

Then I lost Walter too.

Now it’s just me. I work alone. I go home alone. I’m tired, and I’m sad, and I can’t keep up anymore. The bills don’t stop, and neither does the pain.

I don’t want to close this shop. I made it. It holds my whole life. But I can’t afford to keep going by myself.

So I’m closing the shop. Not because I want to, but because my heart and my body can’t carry this anymore.
