GLOBAL NETWORK

The main mission, vision, and objectives of the GLOBAL NETWORK are: 1) to build a network of Ya-Phedangmas (Phang Sams), Tutu-Tumyahangs (male oral-text experts), Yakla Suhangs (female oral-text experts), scholars, cultural activists, writers, and undergraduate/graduate students; 2) to study, explore, and reconstruct ancient Himalayan Indigenous histories, cultures, customary traditions, gender identities, and Mundhum rhetorics; and 3) to digitally document these elements—both traditional and multimodal texts—and ultimately preserve, disseminate, and institutionalize them in local, regional, and global contexts.
