Hailing from Soweto, JayJayy (born Kamogelo. Makoma Jaydrean Mokoti) is one of South Africa's most exciting young voices, skillfully carving out her space in the Amapiano and Afro-Pop scenes with a soulful tone and magnetic energy. Her musical journey began at the age of 10 while living in Fleurhot, Florida, when a neighbour with a home studio gave her the chance to step behind the mic for the first time.

This pivotal experience, combined with the diverse musical foundation built at home listening to legends like Lebo Mathosa, Lauryn Hill, Brenda Fassie, Erykah Badu, Bob Marley, Eminem, and Tupac-shaped her versatile and emotionally rich style. She effortlessly blends soul, trap, and Amapiano, creating a sound that is uniquely her own. A natural performer, JayJayy's artistic instincts were clear from an early age; she started a choir in Grade 7 and studied dramatic arts, cementing the deep connection to music and powerful stage presence that defines her today
