In case you're interested in my reasoning, I read a book called The Chaos Machine: How Social Media Rewired Our Minds and Our World, and I learned that social media algorithms don't just negatively affect our moods, but they also lead to extremism and violence all over the world.

Just because big tech does not put a stop to this, we can each individually choose to participate less.
