The Dahlias

Formed out of Syracuse, NY as The Blacklight Dahlias, the band underwent a transformation in 2014 after welcoming its current drummer, Lyle Somers, and adopted the current name - The Dahlias

.Lyle introduced a level of cohesion and motivation to the band previously unprecedented, particularly through the introduction of ambitious rhythms that spam multiple genres.

In addition to Somers, the band boasts the showmanship and talent of bassist Alexander Elmendorf. Alexander can be called both a bassist and a sassist (or sassafrass/sassyass) and is easily identified by his charismatic presence and outrageous showmanship on stage,

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the band claims the generous talents of Ben Krisher - lead vocalist and guitarist. Ben’s quiet presence is also the genius responsible for writing the bulk of The Dahlias’ lyrics and melodies, and carries them to the stage brimming with passion and overwhelming conviction
