History and Politics With Dr. Brovkin

My channel is devoted to History and Contemporary politics focusing on Russia, Russian American relations, Soviet History, and European History. It is organized into Playlists, such as Issues of Contemporary politics, The War In Ukraine, Post Soviet Russia, Russia Under the Communist regime, The Cold War, Russian History up to 1917, AP European History from Renaissance to World War II. My audience is general public, as well as students of all these topics.

I was born in the Soviet Union and came to the US fifty years ago as a legal immigrant, received an MA from Georgetown University, then PhD in History from Princeton. I served as an Associate Professor of History at Harvard University. I served as an editor of a major Journal as a consultant to various US agencies, and testified before the US House of Representatives Banking Committee. I taught in Morocco and live in France as a retiree. I am the author of numerous books on Russian History.
