Named GQ’s Breakthrough Musician of the Year, Issam Alnajjar is leading the way for a new generation of artists from the Middle East and North Africa to take over the global music scene. A 22-year-old Jordanian/Palestinian artists studied the songwriting of pop artists like Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran and admiring the creativity of iconic artists like Queen, Michael Jackson and The Weeknd, when he got some inspiration for his breakout hit “Hadal Ahbek.” The song is the first Arabic song in history that sat at #1 globally for weeks on end. Issam always had a feeling that he was born to make music.

“I was a 17-year-old boy from Jordan, and I made a song in my bedroom that was #1 globally. I don’t think anything is impossible at this point.”

In 2024, Issam says to look out for “the best music I have ever made”, it's a new wave of Issam and his story is only beginning.
