Dhanya ratheesh

Veena is among the oldest Indian musical instruments. It is the queen of all instruments & the National instrument of India. It is popular in Indian classical music & one revered in Indian culture in form of Saraswati, the goddess of arts & learning.

A typical veena is around 1.5m long made from jackwood. There are numerous types of veena like Rudraveena, Saraswativeena, Chitraveena, Thanjavurveena. Some Notable pioneers are: Muthuswami Dikshitar, Veena Sheshanna.

With influx of modern electrical instruments, importance of this traditional instrument started fading away slowly. My prime objective is to make veena popular again among youth & be part of a noble cause of bringing back the lost glory veena.
