La banda nació en el año 2002 como MORTAL REMAINS Influenciada por Carcass, At the gates, The Haunted, Opeth y Archenemy. En el 2005 lanzó su primer demo de 3 canciones llamado “CLOSEDOWN”. En el 2014 lanzó su primer cd de 9 canciones llamado “THE FURTHER END”. A mediados de 2018 la banda está planeando hacer el lanzamiento de su segundo cd de 10 canciones llamado “THE LABYRINTH WITHIN”.
THE REMAINS se ha presentado en dos versiones del Festival CALI UNDERGROUND (2005 - 2007), en el ATUNTAQUI ROCK FESTIVAL – ECUADOR (2011) alternando con las bandas CABAL, BASCA y ANABANTAH de México, en el FESTIVAL SAN ANTONIO ROCK en ECUADOR (2014) junto a HORCAS de Argentina. También han participado en la cruzada del fuego 2017 junto a OBITUARY de USA y en marzo de 2018 tocaron junto a ARCTURUS de NORUEGA. Actualmente THE REMAINS está conformada por Luis Galvis (voz y guitarra), Mateo Calderón (bajo), Luis Sánchez (batería) y Anuhar Molina (guitarra).
