VILDÁ

Arctic fells, frosty winds, wide waters and deep forests; the elemental inspirations behind the music of VILDÁ, the duo founded on the intuitive communication between accordionist Viivi Maria Saarenkylä and vocalist Hildá Länsman. It's an original collaboration, blending Sámi yoiks with rhythmic accordion dexterity. VILDÁ's debut album Vildaluodda - Wildprint (Bafe's Factory 2019) was selected among the 10 best World Music Albums of 2019 by Songlines Magazine and after that the duo has performed extensively around the world in festivals, concert halls and clubs including appearances in showcase festivals such as WOMEX 2019, Montréal Mundial 2019 and Celtic Connections 2020.

This January VILDÁ was awarded as one of the winners of Music Moves Europe Talent Awards 2021 - A European Commission music award for emerging Artists.
