About Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies

The Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies at New York University was founded in 1966 to foster the interdisciplinary study of the modern Middle East and to enhance public understanding of Middle Eastern cultures, history, and politics. The Center’s faculty and staff are dedicated in promoting independent and critical research and fostering open and critical debate about the Middle East. We also offer a standalone MA program in Near Eastern Studies.
