About Marx-Engels School

Dr. Manoj Das, born on June 8, 1964, in Bardia, Narail, Bangladesh, is an ophthalmologist by profession. The son of Nalini Das and Lakshmi Devi, he developed an early interest in society, culture, and politics. His exposure to Marxist literature led him to embrace Marxism, and he joined the progressive Student Union during his studies at Rajshahi Medical College. Since the 1980s, he has been actively involved in social change movements, including the Save the Sundarbans Movement and the Jute Mills Preservation Movement.

Dr. Das is also a scholar and writer. His notable books in Bengali include Post-Modernism vs. Marxism: An Ideological Debate, A New Type of Party, Marxist Philosophy: Dialectical Materialism, Marxist Philosophy: Historical Materialism, and Socialism: Theory and Practice, Thinkings of the 21st Century. His upcoming book, Post-Modernism and Marxism: Disputation or Alliance, is set to be published soon.
