Nigeria Climate Change Response Programme

The Nigeria Climate Change Response Programme (NCCRP) is a European Union-funded project intended to support the Federal Government of Nigeria’s mitigation efforts of conditionally reducing its Greenhouse Gas (GHGs) emissions by 45% in 2030 in line with its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) pledge.

NCCRP'S core tasks cover establishment and implementation of a MRV framework, dissemination of climate change knowledge, strengthen capacity in best practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and participate in carbon markets in line with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, which is central to CoP negotiations.
