About YirumaVEVO

Yiruma was born on Feb 15, 1978 and started to learn the piano at home at the age of 5. In 1988 at the age of 11 he moved to England to study at the Purcell School of Music. In December 1996 he participated in the album The Musicians of Purcell and graduated in 1997. Yiruma then completed a Composition major from the prestigious King's College London in 2000.

While studying at Kings College, Yiruma released his first album Love Scene and toured Europe. He was the first Korean artist to be honoured with an invitation to perform at the 2002 MIDEM in Cannes, France. Yiruma has gone on to release 7 studio albums and compose soundtracks for musicals, films and theatre.

His YouTube channel has had over 124 million hits and he has also found success as a radio DJ. Yiruma continues to tour and record through Europe and Asia where he is enjoying superstar status.
