Indie electronic artist Instupendo floats into earshot with original compositions that listeners say they turn to when they feel, or want to feel, a certain way. Simultaneously euphoric and melancholy, his distinctive sound has been described as “ethereal, electro dream-pop”, “genuinely eccentric”, and “at once kaleidoscopic and minimalistic.”

This emotional sound design has earned him a world-wide following, the admiration of notable collaborators like Grammy winners Rostam and RAC, and Juno-award winner Ryan Hemsworth, recognition from the likes of FADER, Pitchfork, Flaunt, Highsnobiety, Pigeons & Planes, and Kaltblut, play on BBC 1, KCRW and SiriusXM, as well as play-listing on flagship indie, electronic, pop, mood, and new music playlists. He’s performed at SXSW and FIAC, and supported Madeon, Shallou, George Fitzgerald, Giraffage, Snail Mail, Teen Daze, and Golden Vessel.

2019 saw Instupendo featuring on Toro Y Moi’s ‘Outer Peace’ LP, in Urban Outfitter’s Teenage Engineering OP-Z launch campaign, and in Cult Classic Magazine as a “creative shaping the future”. He released his third EP, ‘Boys by Girls,’ mid-year. The genre-blending project was the first to include his own vocals and was named to Popmatters’ 12 Best Pop Albums of 2019 list.
