About RVA Pwo Karen
We are a Catholic Media organization called Radio Veritas Asia (RVA) Pwo Karen, providing online services to the Church in Myanmar and to the Pwo Karen speakers across the globe. RVA is a continental Catholic radio service established in 1969, which now operates on a multi-media platform and caters to 22 languages across Asia.
Karen is one of the eight major ethnic communities of Myanmar. The Karen ethnic group has two main sub-groups, namely Sagaw Karen and Pwo Karen. The Pwo Karen community has two dialects, namely East Pwo Karen and West Pwo Karen.
Our programs are aimed at the West Pwo Karen speakers who live mostly in the Ayeyarwady Region of Myanmar. We produce and upload daily online programs consisting of religious and cultural content in West Pwo Karen. RVA also produces programs in Sagaw Karen.
