Jeffree began singing in Cleveland groups at the age of 13 and began writing songs by the age of 20. Jeffree Charles was a household name by age 25 because of his hit Single titled: "Tonight @ 9"

At that time Jeffree had a Quiet Storm formatted radio show called “For Lovers Only” on WZAK 93.1 in Cleveland, Ohio. "Being on air with a hit record prompted promoters to approach me to open many shows back then" Those Artists that Jeffree Charles opened for included but was not limited to: Anita Baker, Whispers, S.O.S. Band, Karyn White, Will Downing, Levert, War, Brian McKnight and other major Artists.

1994 Jeffree hit the ground running back to his home town of Atlanta, Georgia where his Album was finished and he was quickly signed to Success Records.

Jeffree Charles to date has never stopped creating music, videos and Performing.
