About Rajasthan Rising

Rajasthan Rising is a movement for Dalit, Adivasi, Backward classes girls' education in Rajasthan. It was started by young girls from marginalized backgrounds who collectivized in their respective villages to address the challenges faced by them in accessing secondary & higher education.

The pandemic has put young girls at greater risk of violence and exploitation due to the breakdown of social and protective networks and decreased access to services. It brought distress at the household level, loss of wages and jobs, making girls vulnerable to social evils like child marriage.

To overcome these challenges, over the months, these girls have built their leadership in several districts of Rajasthan, that envisions every young girl in the state to get free education.
