About Shaykh Ashiq

Shaykh Kazi Ashiqur Rahman is a Hafidh and Qari of The Holy Quran, certified with Ijaazah Sanad upto Prophet Muhammad PBUH, for Reciting and Teaching in Qira'ah of Imam Aasim and Imam Hamza. He holds a BA in Islamic and Arabic studies from Al Azhar University, and MA in Islamic Law from Al-Azhar. He is currently based in Cairo, where he is pursuing a PhD in Fiqh at Al-Azhar inshallah. Shaykh is a regular Reciter and Speaker in Mosques and Universities in various countries around the world.

He was formerly the Lead Imam & Khateeb at Darul Ummah, London. His works include; training upcoming Qur'an Reciters, Issuing Ijazah Sanad, teaching Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh, Aqeedah, Islamic Studies, and other subjects.
