Tokai is a three-member band in Korea, which means city in Japanese. Just like people dressed casually as one can see on foot in urban areas, Tokai's music is the same. Their music is based on the sound of 'Casual Rock', aiming for comfort like a hood to the listeners and an active and cheerful sound like a track top.

In early August 2024, he formed a band with Gwak , who originally worked as a one-man band, DUHA, a college classmate, and HWAN, a drummer for Lazy Susan, and debuted with a full-length album [burning.] in January 2025, a story about the reality, hardships, pain, and growth of the young generation.
