About HALLOWS - Topic
HALLOWS is a Los Angeles-based dark electronic duo consisting of Vanee Dusoruth and Dom Rolando. The band’s seductive and melancholic sound explores themes of unease, longing, and sadness in their music inspired by 80s synth nostalgia, coupled with modern electronics, disco, and punk influences.
Formed in 2019, HALLOWS debuted with the EP Subtle on underground experimental label Phage Tapes (2020). Their first full-length, All That Is True (2021, Cold Transmission Music), introduced the fan-favorite single “All That Is True Dies” and launched the duo on their first U.S. tour, with appearances at Absolution Fest, Darkspring Boston, and Freakout Fest.Their sophomore album, A Quieter Life (2023, Stoic Media), deepened their cinematic, heart-stirring sound with standout tracks like “Talk To Me” and “Things That Hurt.” The release coincided with performances at Substance Fest, Verboden Fest, and Sanctum, solidifying HALLOWS as an evocative force in the modern dark electronic scene.
In 2025, HALLOWS signed with acclaimed independent record label, Artoffact Records, recognized for its roster of influential artists across multiple underground scenes. That year also saw their first European tour, with dates across the UK and the continent, alongside steady touring in North America. The duo’s upcoming full-length with Artoffact continues their momentum and adds a new chapter to their growing body of work.
