Don't be fooled by his demure appearance and demeanor. CJL, is real rap royalty, breathes fire through his arsenal of mad bars and unique flair, ready to unleash a storm of rhythm and lyrical weaponry on the local rap scene. This young, up-and-coming poet, whose real name is Logeswara Rao, won the first-ever Rap Porkaalam, a Tamil rap competition on Astro Ulagam in year 2020.

At a young age of 18, the 26-year-old Johorean began dropping lines of his own rhymes. At the age of 11, he was introduced to the world of hip hop, which prepared the path for the development of his rapping talents and strengthened his passion for music.

CJL racked up an opportunity to cooperate with Sony Music on developing a tune after his crowning victory as the first ever Rap Porkaalam champion, as written in the stars. Despite his commitment to hip hop, CJL incorporates crossover aspects into this tune by sampling some classical Indian instruments while keeping the track's commercial value.
