Growing up in Tifton, Georgia during part of the height of Southern rap, 17-year-old high school student Bernard Jabs gravitated towards the star power of Lil Wayne. Bernard Jabs took to the culture surrounding southern rap and used that history to guide him towards the future.

Bernard made his bedroom into his practice space. He set up a bedroom studio, built of a microphone, some speakers, and a laptop with Pro Tools. Calling himself “a kid with an internet connection,” he would watch Lil Wayne documentaries, Kanye West interviews, studying the game and soaking in all the major pieces of hip-hop culture he could find.

He is one of the newest additions to Def Jam’s roster and already has a full schedule of announcements. His debut single, “Big Tymer”, and his EP, COLDHEARTED, are both slated to release later this year.
