About Mas Musiq

Thabo Ngubane – also known as Mas Musiq, is a music producer and DJ, born and raised in Tembisa, South Africa. As a young boy, he always dreamt of creating music; hence, he decided to make his dream come true by enrolling in an academy to study music for a Sound Engineering qualification after high school. Once he obtained his qualification, Mas Musiq was well equipped to rock the music industry. In 2019 he began producing beats that caught the attention of DJ Maphorisa. Mas Musiq co-produced “Isiphithiphithi” by Samthing Soweto. He then released “Mambisa I”, “Shonamalanga” and “Mambisa II”. He is known for his hit single “Zaka” with Aymos. He has been involved with numerous amapiano hits such as “Emcimbini” which he produced together with DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Myztro. His producing plays a huge role in most amapiano hits and continues to produce more ground breaking songs in the industry.
