News is a factual report of an event. Reporters are supposed to report what they see. Objectivity means reporting events as they happened. If the reporter adds something from his own imagination, it goes against objectivity. Comments/suggestions or suggestions are not the work of a journalist. These are considered correct in a column, editorial, etc. In this format of journalistic writing, the writer can provide in-depth and background information.

Objectivity simply means reporting only the tip of the iceberg and leaving the rest to analytical and in-depth reporting. If the reporter wants to angle, slant or shade the news, it will not be an objective report.
