Josef Newgarden

Josef Newgarden is a two-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES Champion (2017, 2019) and back-to-back Indianapolis 500 winner (2023, 2024), cementing his place among the sport’s modern greats. Since joining Team Penske in 2017, he has won at least one race every season, building a reputation as one of the most consistent and dominant drivers in American open-wheel racing — especially on ovals.

In addition to his Indy 500 success, Josef is a Rolex 24 at Daytona overall winner and one of the most recognizable ambassadors in motorsports.

Off the track, Josef and his wife Ashley founded the Newgarden Family Foundation in 2025 to support organizations that help people reach their fullest potential. A Nashville native, Josef is a dedicated husband and father of two, a passionate traveler, fitness enthusiast, and co-author of the children’s books Josef’s BIG Dream and Goodnight Racetrack.
