I’m Johannes Leitner, but most people know me as Leitnerjoe. I’m a self-taught musician from Munich, Germany, and I do everything myself—writing, playing, recording, and producing. My main voice is the bass (fretless, fretted, and electric upright), though I love exploring different sounds and textures.

Some of my biggest inspirations are bass legends like Mick Karn, Les Claypool, Michael Manring, and Percy Jones, but my music is really about finding my own voice through the instrument.
