About Edvin Andersson
In January 2014, we had problems with wild boars who turned our backyard upside down. I thought about getting a trail-camera to take photos but somehow I decided to make one myself. The camera is a portable Raspberry Pi with following specs:
Wild Camera:
Raspberry Pi B+, PiCam NOIR, Adafruit PIR Motion Sensor, 12Ah 5V LIPO battery, 33 IR diodes, basic circuit (with transistors to power the diodes and PIR) and a LCD screen with menu system (to activate, etc), Python scrips
Owl Camera:
Rapberry Pi B, PiCam NOIR, 1 IR diode, streaming to an Ubuntu server.
*According to Swedish law, you can only place remote cameras in areas where common people have no access. Sweden has extended rights for people to walk almost everywhere (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_to_roam#Sweden) and this limits the areas to record at to "non-access"-areas in the back yard, farm fields etc.*
All clips in this channel follows these laws, no clips are recorded in areas where other people has access.
