Rashmi is the only Indian woman to win the Grand-Prix Award, at the prestigious International World Music Festival at Samarkand, Uzbekistan

She is a Post graduate in Hindustani Classical music from Allahabad University. She has trained under Smt. Savita Devi in Thumri Dadra and under Smt. Shanti Hiranand in Ghazal.

A multi award winner, Rashmi is extensively traveled. She has performed at various national and international platforms.

She has released a number of original Sufi, Ghazal, Folk and Devotional albums and singles.
