Tuffy Stone

Tuffy Stone is a six-time World Barbecue Champion pitmaster, French-trained chef, former Marine, author of Cool Smoke: The Art of Great Barbecue, and one of the most respected figures in competition BBQ. Known as “The Professor,” Tuffy blends precision, process, and the science of smoke to produce championship-level barbecue.

As leader of the Cool Smoke Barbecue team, Tuffy has earned titles at the highest levels of competition, including Memphis in May. His expertise led to his role as judge and co-host on Destination America’s BBQ Pitmasters.

Tuffy teaches BBQ classes around the world and has cooked everywhere from Kuwait for U.S. troops to Meatstock in New Zealand and Australia, and masterclasses in Brazil. Whether competing, teaching, or creating content, Tuffy represents excellence in barbecue.
