There are countless ways to understand the landscapes we live in, so I can only tackle this vast subject from my own experience as an associate professor of landscape architecture, an arborist, a former landscape contractor, a master's thesis writer on sense of place subjects, a landscape designer, and a hobby gardener. My goal is to make complex landscape

subjects accessible to everyone, so that our collective understanding of designed and vernacular places might expand beyond the reaches of academia and industry professionals. There are many YouTube people that also explore this subject, so credit will be given where it is due, including sharing others videos that enhance subject discussed here.
