Union Bank of India was established on 11th November 1919 with its headquarters in the city of Bombay, now known as Mumbai.
The Head Office building of the Bank in Mumbai was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation in the year 1921.
Today, the Bank has a network of 8650+ domestic branches, 8,300+ ATMs, 74,100+ employees and 26,600+ Business Correspondents . The Bank has expanded its presence across all States and Union Territories. The Bank’s total business as of 31st December 2025 stood at Rs. 22,39,740 crores, comprising Rs. 12,22,856 crore of deposits and Rs. 10,16,884 crores of advances. The Bank also has 2 overseas branches at Dubai International Financial Centre (UAE) & Sydney (Australia); 1 banking subsidiary at London (UK); 1 banking joint venture in Malaysia; 4 para-banking subsidiaries (domestic); 2 joint ventures and 1 associate - Andhra Pradesh Grameen Bank.
