Formed in Paris, King Harvest included Eddie Tuleja (guitar), Ron Altbach (keys), Rod Novak (bass, sax) and Wells Kelly (drums). After winning a French rock contest, King Harvest recorded their first album and added bassist Didier Alexandre to the group. The band scored the soundtrack to Le Feu Sacre, the film that represented France at the Cannes Film Festival in 1971 where they performed at the Whiskey-a-Go-Go. Joined by Doc Robinson (keys, vocals) they were booked to open for BB King at the Olympia in Paris and headline at the Speakeasy in London. In 1972 King Harvest teamed up with their producers Pierre Jaubert and Jack Robinson to record Dancing in the Moonlight, written by their old friend Sherman Kelly. Dancing in the Moonlight became a major U.S. hit and stayed high on the Billboard charts for 22 weeks. King Harvest dissolved in 1976 to work with their friends The Beach Boys, playing tours in the US, Canada, Australia, and England, and recording on Beach Boys, Mike Love's Celebration, and Dennis Wilson albums. Recently featured in Joker: Folie a Deux (2024), Mascarade (2022 Cannes Film Festival), The Tender Bar, Sweet Tooth, The Big Leap, 2019 World Series, Annabelle Comes Home, ESPN March Madness, Thoroughbreds, ABC's "Good Morning America", Hitman's Bodyguard, Showtime "I'm Dying Up Here", HBO "Girls", & more....
