Praised by British composer Ian Venables as “an exciting young composer with an enviable command of technique,” Mukil Narayanan is an award-winning American pianist, composer, arranger, poet, and conductor of South Indian descent. Known for a contemporary classical style that fuses chromaticism with lyrical color, he has composed over 60 original works spanning solo, chamber, vocal, choral, and orchestral music. His works have been performed at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Lamont School of Music, and West Valley College. A gifted polymath and poet fluent in multiple languages, Mukil is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Music in Composition at SFCM under David Garner.
