Whiskers and the Watermelon of Peace

Whiskers was an orange cat with the energy of a caffeinated toddler and the judgment of a flying squirrel.

One hot afternoon, while sprinting across the kitchen counter like a parkour champion, he skidded into a bowl and face-planted into a slice of watermelon.

He licked it.

Then stopped.

Then licked again… slower.

The cool sweetness washed over his taste buds like a gentle purr from the universe. He sat down. Then lay down. Then just existed.

For the first time, Whiskers wasn’t planning world domination or attacking ankles.

He had found peace.

If anyone asked, he’d just blink twice and pretend it never happened.

And all it took… was watermelon.
