Model Railroading Francesco Longo

I am an electric engineer, graduated from the Polytechnic of Milan. I had also PhD. I am interested in the model railway which is a very instructive hobby, with positive effects, since it serves the person at least the following activities: organizational skills (keeping everything in order); capacity in the conservation of their belongings in good condition; calm and manual skills; artistic ability (landscape realization) understanding of phenomena (why doesn't it work? , why does it derail?); understanding of cause-effect principle (only if everything is set up properly it will work but just a small catch and nothing works anymore; it helps not to believe to irrational things, not based on a precise logic); knowledge of electricity, some electronics, also being able to program, for example, entering the world JMRI (see its website JMRI .sourceforge.net /, carried out by the professor Bob Jacobsen); art of photography.
