About HIKAYA - Topic
HIKAYA, born July 1994 in Sweden, is a singer, songwriter and musician. His pop-rock music was recognized through Spotify, where he debuted with original songs in 2022, as well with japanese covers of the famous music group MALICE MIZER.
The artist name HIKAYA originates from the arabic word "حكاية", which means "story". The musical journey of HIKAYA started as a self-taught guitarist and composer at the age of 16. Eventually, he learned other instruments, singing and music production.
The first album "Wonders" was released November 4, 2022. Everything is written, produced, arranged and performed by HIKAYA himself. Considered a pop- and rock album, it is permeated by elements of neoclassical partitures, polyphonic melodies, glamourous synths and a touch of symphonic metal. It was followed by the two albums, "Miracles" and "Harmony" in 2023 and 2024.
Alongside his original music, a Japanese cover album "マリスミゼル"「MALICE MIZER」was released on Spotify and Apple Music December 24, 2022. It's a tribute to the band for their 30th anniversary. The covers are completely produced and arranged by HIKAYA, though the credits are referenced to the original composers of the band.
