Tshering Norbu Musics & Films

I'm Tshering Norbu, an architect by profession, yet music has always kindled an intense passion within me. Despite lacking formal musical training, I've eagerly explored diverse avenues to master various instruments, seeking guidance from skilled musicians.

My musical journey connected me with notable artists like Ap Dawpay, a legendary Dranyenist (Bhutanese lute) player, and Ap Khitoo, a Chiwangnist (Bhutanese fiddle) master. Learning the flute, chiwang, and dranyen under Ata Dorji's mentorship from Rapa (Royal Academy of Performing Art) further enriched my musical odyssey.

Guiding this exploration is Master Musicologist Kheng Sonam Dorji, fondly known as Kheng Somdo. He's the lone Bhutanese pursuing a PhD in music, providing unwavering insights.

As a music faculty member at "Music for All, Leaving No One Behind" (MBRC), I invite music enthusiasts, especially children, to connect with me or MBRC. Complimentary lessons across various instruments await their eager exploration.
