E.T.S., Embrace the Suck means stepping out of your comfort zone, pushing past your limits, and emerging stronger on the other side. I turned to DIY backcountry elk hunting as an adaptive sport—both to challenge myself and to manage the lingering effects of a combat injury.

The preparation, planning, and discipline, has been as valuable as the hunts themselves. Luckily for me I had a mentor and hunting partner who taught me the ways of unsupported mountain hunting. Now, I want to share that knowledge and experiences along with some of my own adventures to fellow veterans, service members, and anyone with an adventurous spirit to embrace the outdoors and step beyond their comfort zone.
