About Dr. Abdullah As-Sueidi

Dr. Abdullah as-Sueidi is from Sweden and grew up in a non-Muslim family, but converted to Islam when he was 16 years old. He travelled to Madinah and studied BA in the Islamic University at the faculty of Shariah, and completed MA and PhD in Islamic Theology in the same university. The title of his PhD thesis was: "The Refutations by Western Scholars of Contemporary Atheism: A Presentation and Critique". In this way he specialized in refuting Atheism from both an Islamic theological and Western scholarly perspective.

He also attained a BA in history of religion and MA in psychology of religion from Swedish universities.

Dr. Abdullah also studied most of the Islamic sciences with many different scholars in Madinah, like theology, tafsir, hadith, fiqh, usul and so on. From the scholars he studied with are Shaykh Abdulmuhsin al-Abbad, who he studied with for over 10 years.

Shaykh Abdullah used to teach in al-Masjid an-Nabawi and the Islamic University in Medinah for many years.
