Matter Halo, a new sincerity rock band from Jakarta, Indonesia, consists of Ibnu Dian and Ganidra Rai.
In 2015, Matter Halo released their debut album Aerotiva, an aeronautical album which was highly inspired by Brian Eno’s Ambient 1/Music For Airports. During that time, Matter Halo has also produced two EPs (Pesawat Kertas & Travel (Remixes)), & one documentary film. One of Matter Halo’s tracks Teralih - Aero's Tape (feat. Nadin Amizah) is featured as a soundtrack for an Indonesian feature film Posesif (2017) and nominated as 5 Best Folk/Country/Ballad Production Work by Ami Awards 2018.
Now the band returns with a new album titled "Nightvision". It is a New Sincerity record to dance to, to build a bliss station & to experience ways of surviving the chaos. It comes from months & months of labour of love & huge determination by the duo, Ibnu Dian and Ganidra Rai in collaboration with such passionate artists from local (Bam Mastro for the album mixing) and around the world (Reuben Wu Ladytron for the album artwork & Greg Calbi, mastering engineer of Talking Heads & Bon Iver for album mastering).
Runway Lights, In the Room (feat. Elly Kasim), Red Light & Million, the singles from the new album was featured in worldwide playlist such as Indie Shuffle, Indie Brandneu & .ORG by Spotify & also Blogo WEEKLY TOP. by La Blogothèque.
