Rob Braxman Jazz

This channel is about my jazz musical journey. I started studying jazz and piano around 2005 or so. I didn't play piano nor jazz before that. I studied with several top jazz pianists in L.A. and hopefully picked up a few things. I've been playing gigs for awhile now and hopefully there's a progression where newer recordings show improvement.

If you're not familiar with our kind of music, we are improvising musicians, meaning nothing we play is known in advance. We react at the moment and it makes it risky and exciting. And also very difficult.

I'm a semi-pro musician. I don't make a living out of music but I do play paid gigs frequently. Follow my journey. I'm still working on my craft and learning more.
