Eri Sasaki - Topic

Eri Sasaki studied classical violin from an early age, and after entering the Department of Integrated Human Studies at Kyoto University she joined the music club and started singing and songwriting. After graduating, she wrote many songs as a Sony Music Publishing exclusive writer while also doing a lot of singing and chorus work,

In 2015, she made her CD debut as a singer with the opening theme song "Ring of Fortune" of the anime Plastic Memories. In 2018 both sang and wrote the ending theme "Fuyubiyori", to the anime Laid-Back Camp, which was a massive hit getting over 6 million views on YouTube.

She has performed several times in the United States, Europe, and Asian.

She was the music director for the popular musical "The Legend of the Milky Way," which sold out at each performance.

Utilizing the knowledge she acquired at Kyoto University, Eri has been able to diversify her talents into a variety of fields such as appearing in intellectual game programs and being appointed the tourism ambassador in Minobu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture in 2019.

幼い頃からクラシックバイオリンを習い、京都大学総合人間学部入学後、軽音サークルに加入し、ボーカル＆ソングライティング活動をスタート。卒業後はソニー・ミュージックパブリッシング専属作家として楽曲提供をしながら歌唱やコーラスも数多くこなし、2015年、アニメ『プラスティック・メモリーズ』のオープニング主題歌「Ring of Fortune」で自身も歌手としてCDデビュー。

自身で作詞作曲歌唱を手がけた2018年TVアニメ『ゆるキャン△』エンディングテーマ「ふゆびより」はYouTubeで約600万再生を超えるロングヒット。アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジア各国での公演も多数。公演の度に即完売の大人気ミュージカル『天の河伝説』では音楽監督を務めた。

京都大学卒業の頭脳を生かし、知的ゲーム番組「たほいや甲子"園」「アルティメット人狼」などへの出演、2019年には山梨県身延町の観光大使に就任など、多方面に活躍中。
