Mala Mami

Namaskaram and hello! I am Mala, a home-maker with over 45 years of experience in the traditional cooking style of the Tamil Iyer community. We were constantly on the move as a young family, so I have adopted new recipes from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka as well. I also had to deal with my husband's diabetes in the past 10 years by creating new recipes out of whole grains, which in combination with his strict exercise regimen has been helpful in keeping diabetes under control. I created new recipes for my children living abroad to match their need for speed. I am using this channel to share with you my knowledge of cooking: some traditional, some healthy, some fast and some fun recipes! Enjoy watching, making and eating!
