Indira Gandhi International Airport (IATA: DEL, ICAO: VIDP) is the international airport of Delhi (also known as New Delhi, NCR of Delhi) and the busiest airport of India. With the commencement of operations at the T3 in 2010, IGI Airport has become South Asia's largest aviation hub, with a current capacity of handling more than 62 million passengers. The airport handled 36 million passengers and 600,000 tonnes of cargo in 2011-12 and aims to handle more than 100 million passengers by 2030. The airport has 3 fully functioning runways including India's longest (almost 4500 m). IGI Airport handled over 345,000 aircraft movements in 2011-12. The state-of-the-art T3 was built in a record-breaking 37 months and has a capacity of 34 million passengers per annum. The terminal boasts 78 aerobridges, the largest at any single terminal in the world.
