Salinger's "Franny and Zooey".She was born into a showbiz family,her father is Caleb Deschanel,an Academy-Award nominated cinematographer, and her mother is actress Mary Jo Deschanel("Twin Peaks").Zooey's older sister is actress Emily Deschanel,who stars in the Fox show 'Bones'.

• Zooey's first television role was as model,Elena,on the television show 'Veronica's Closet'.

• I have trouble actually describing myself because Im always suspicious of people who start describing themselves. Im like, OK, why are you trying to tell me what you are?
