Wintec

Wintec is an award-winning institution based in New Zealand’s Waikato region. With close to 100 years’ experience providing top-quality tertiary education, Wintec programmes meet the needs of local industry with practical, job-focused training. Wintec offers over 130 degrees, diplomas and certificates. It produces some of New Zealand’s finest nurses, social workers, midwives, graphic designers, performing artists, engineers, trades people, early childhood teachers, horticulturists, arborists, sport scientists, and much more.

Our focus is on practical, hands-on training. This means Wintec graduates develop skills within environments simulating where they will work.

We pride ourselves on our diverse student base. Over ¼ of Wintec students identify as Māori and many of our students come from culturally diverse backgrounds from around the globe.
