Hiroko Yakushimaru | Born in Tokyo. Actress and singer. Made her acting debut in the movie "Proof of Wildness". She made her debut as a singer with the theme song "Sailor Suit and Machine Gun". Since then, she has starred in movies and sung theme songs for numerous hits including "Detective Story", "Main Theme", and "Woman from 'The Tragedy of W'". In the 2000s, she has gained a high reputation as one of Japan's leading actresses through her appearances in movies such as "Kisarazu Cat's Eye" and "Always: Sunset on Third Street," dramas such as "Ama-chan", "Yell", and "Saiai", and many other movies and dramas. In recent years, she has also been active in music, giving concerts and appearing on singing programs. In 2021, she celebrated the 40th anniversary of her singing career.
